I am 16 years old, from Qualicum Beach where I have danced at the Qualicum Beach School of Dance for the past 13 years. I dance 6 days a week and sometimes 7. It iS my favourite thing to do. I also enjoy photography as a hobby on the side of dance as my full time priority. I wish to pursue dance as a career and travel the world while doing so.
My name is Jessica Langelier and I am a 16 year old dancer from Nanaimo, BC. I have trained with Kirkwood Academy of Performing Arts for 11 years. I love training in every genre of dance available to me including ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap and hiphop. I am very passionate about dance as my future career and am enrolled in KAPP, Kirkwood Academy’s Pre-Professional program. I am in my fourth year with Helix Dance Theatre and third year with Nanaimo Contemporary Ballet.
Along with my core dance training, I trained with Andrea Bertram vocal studio and performed in the musical theatre productions of Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Seussical and Nutcracker. I have also toured to California, New York and Florida with the Kirkwood Youth Dance Company.
I have been fortunate to train in the summers with various professional schools including the School of Alberta Ballet (2014), Joffrey West LA (2015), Joffrey NYC (2016) the Joffrey contemporary ballet intensive in San Francisco (2017) and this past summer I trained at Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago, IL.
In June 2018 I was also very honoured to participate as an intermediate modern representative at the Performing Arts Festival in Victoria.
I am so excited to see what dance opportunities lie ahead of me as a performer and choreographer and am honoured to be a part of NCB once again.
Bio coming soon.
