Emma Leigh began training at the age of 3 at Kirkwood Academy of Performing Arts and graduated in 2021 after 14 years with the studio. She loves every genre of dance especially ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and tap. She attended Kirkwood Academy’s Pre-Professional program under the guidance of Artistic Director, Chantelle Norris and trained intensively in RAD Ballet, ISTD tap, and ISTD modern. Emma has completed all of her Royal Academy of Dance ballet examinations up to Advanced 2.
Emma was also fortunate enough to be a company member of Nanaimo Contemporary Ballet in its early years. She performed in NCB’s “Endeavor” and “Frequency” alongside Ballet Victoria, Convergence, and the Happening Dance.
In addition, she attended the Performing Arts of British Columbia Provincials for five consecutive years as Stage Representative and exceeded to Provincial Finals in 2017.
She looks forward to working with the dancers of NCB this season and can’t wait to get back in the studio.
