Kennedy Knopf was born and raised in small town Vernon BC. Introduced to the art of dance at the age of six, she began with tap and ballet and continued her dancing throughout adolescence.
With her natural ability and hardworking principles, Kennedy quickly became one of the top dancers in her community. Miss Knopf now dances and resides in Vancouver BC. She is a graduate of the The Dance Initiative, Harbour Dance Centre’s Source Dance Company and Aviary Dance Company. Knopf’s strong versatility shows as jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop, salsa, musical theatre and burlesque compose her dance repertoire. Kennedy has also acquired skills with coaching in acting, vocal work, kickboxing and circus school.
A few of Kennedy’s credits include the BC Stage Dance Provincial Winner in 2012 and 2nd place recipient in 2014. Team Canada soloist dancing in the I.D.O World Championships. Chosen as a primary dancer in the Vancouver Spring Show 2016, as well as traveling to Sweden with Kip Jon Productions for the AstraZeneca Diabetes conference. She is most recently apprenticing with Heather Laura Grey in her original work “The Tunnel” as well as preparing for The Dance Centers 12 minute max dance showcase.
Her bubbly personality, dedication and persistence has made her a valuable artist. Kennedy is hungry to share her passion of dance and to continue excelling and achieving great things within the industry.
