“ It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.” – Albert Einstein
Our lives have become filled with rings, beeps and tones. Gone are the days of sitting on a park bench day dreaming random thoughts; instead we are inundated with Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook alerts telling us to respond now or risk losing our trending popularity. From the beginning of time humanity has sought connection; a meaningful existence full of purpose and fulfillment, but have we lost what we hold most dear ? Maybe connection is only found to wifi, and community only found in a discussion board.
“Frequency” explores our deep roots in nature through to our love affair with media and it’s worship and ridicule of the average individual.
With special guests “Reforming Art Productions” and “The Happening” of Vancouver B.C, and choreography by Constance Cooke (SOS Dance), Sarah Formosa (TWObigsteps collective) and Heather Robertson (EDGE). Lighting and props by Don Armitage who has worked with such acts as The Barenaked Ladies, Bruce Cockburn, and Colin James.
